What is "My Project List"?
It is an optional feature on our website that allows you to create "wishlists" for whatever automotive or other project, and save a list of the parts you need.    For example, if you want to keep a list of all the vacuum line sizes you need for your Subaru, create a list with that name.  You can create additional lists like "Dad's Diesel" and mainatin a list of all the couplers and clamps you need for that project.
What is your shipping policy?
In a nutshell, if you order before 2PM Eastern Time on a non-holiday weekday, your order typically ships out on the same day.  You can find our complete shipping policy including the holidays on which we do not ship here.
What if my package is lost?
We are happy to assist tracking down your package if it appears to have been lost by the shipper.  When possible, we can file claims to assist in the replacement of your order or potentially provide a refund if the package is lost by the shipper.  Please be advised however that we are not responsible for packages that have show a delivery status as delivered.  Additionally, we can not under any circumstance assist in tracking down a package if it is past 30 days from the order date.

What is the temperature rating of your silicone hose?
Non-reinforced hose such as silicone vacuum hose has a max temp rating of 550°F.
Reinforced hoses that are reinforced with Polyester have a max temp rating of 350°F.  This includes most couplers and heater hose.
Reinforced hoses that are reinforced with Aramid have a max temp rating of 550°F.  This includes any coupler that is indicated on our website to be "Extreme Temp".

What is the difference between the Hallman Pro Boost Controller and the Hallman Pro RX Boost Controller?
The Hallman Pro model only comes with one spring.  It is the standard spring (also known as the "heavy" spring).   

The Hallman Pro RX model comes with two springs.  The light spring is pre-installed but it also comes with a standard spring that you can install instead of the light spring.     If you want to swap the springs in your Pro RX model, please see section 6 of the Pro series instructions linked here.

The Pro model has the ability to raise turbocharger boost more than the Pro RX model.    The Pro model can raise the boost substantially, to 30 psi or more.  That does not mean it is safe to do so.  

The Pro RX model with the light spring installed, unlike the Pro model, is designed to only provide a few extra PSI of boost over stock.  It allows for very specific control of boost in finer increments.  The Pro RX model is considered appropriate for low-boost setups.

You can ruin your engine if you do not do your research to determine what is safe and what is not safe.  It varies tremendously depending on what car, what modifications have been done, etc.  We will not tell you what is safe, that is your responsibility to research.  It may sound harsh that we are not answering that for you, but after you research, you will understand why we state this.   It is because there are many factors to consider.
What internal diameter of vacuum hose should I order?
We can not answer that, sorry!   There are a multitude of manufacturers and models of vehicles out there, add to that the multitude of engine modifications... there are an infinate number of variables.  If you are replacing stock vacuum lines, you can check your vehicle's specs as stated by the manufacturer or the information can be found in online enthusiast's communities.  You can also measure your stock lines with calipers.  If you are adding additional componants/performance parts to your vehicle that require vacuum line, consult the manufacturer of the parts.
My existing vacuum hose line is measured in inches. The hose offered at BoostController.com is metric. What do I order?
If you are replacing lines measured with an imperial system measurement, it is not a problem!  The general rule of thumb is to convert your measurement in inches to mm (google can do that for you).  Then, if it does not equal an exact vacuum hose size in mm (and it likely won't), just size down one size.  For example, 1/4 inch line is 6.35 mm.   So, size down to 6mm because that is the closest size down.  It is recommended you size down so that your hose stays firmly attached to your fittings - silicone hose stretches laterally rather easily and tends to stay put on the fitting with tension.  When properly fitted, clamps are not needed.  If you are concerned about the fit of hose on your fittings, we have clamp options that are suitable for use with silicone vacuum hose.
How do I order a specific length of hose?
If it is vacuum hose, heater hose, or fuel line, it is sold by the length, so the quantity you order will actually be the length of hose in one continuous piece. 

If it is a coupler hose (like straight hose, hump hose, elbow hose, etc.) it is sold per piece, so the quantity you order will be the number of pieces.  Each piece will be the standard length for that specific hose.  

If you need a straight hose cut to a different length than the standard length, contact us for a quote on custom length hose.   Straight hose can be cut to almost any length... longer or shorter than standard.  Elbow hoses can be cut to have shorter legs if desired. 

However, reducer hoses, hump hoses, and CAC hoses can not be cut to different lengths.    If you need those types of hoses made to different lengths, that would be considered a custom made hose.  Custom made hoses can be made to your company's specs, or branded with your company's logo, or both.  Due to the necessary set-up for custom made hoses, they can not be done for one-off applications.  They are for commercial entities only - minimum quantities and set-up charges apply.   We can make virtually any custom made hose concept a reality, contact us for information.

Custom made hoses can be made to your company's specs, or branded with your company's logo, or both.  Due to the necessary set-up for custom made hoses, they can not be done for one-off applications.  They are for commercial entities only - minimum quantities and set-up charges apply.   We can make virtually any custom made hose concept a reality, contact us for information.
